One Pot Hearty Beef Stew
With winter upon us nothing satisfies better than a warm stew on a cold winters night, especially when it’s ready to go when you walk in the door. That is why we have created this super tasty, super EASY one pot stew.
Best of all, like all of our recipes it’s easy to mix and match if you don’t have every ingredient on hand. We often mix up the vegetables based on what we have available at the time so you don’t have to worry about going to the shop if you don’t have something. This recipe also uses beef, but you could just as easily mix it up with whatever red meat you have on hand.
500g of Gravy Beef Cubed
1 Cup of Carrot
1 Cup of Celery
1 Cup of Beans (Frozen or Fresh)
1/2 Teaspoon of Paprika
1 Beef Stock Cube
1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoons of Gravox
4 Cups of Water
3 Potatoes (optional)
Peel and dice Onion, Celery, Potatoes and Carrots into small to medium pieces.
In one cup of hot water, place stock cube and let dissolve.
Add Beef, Onion, Carrot, Celery and Potatoes to crockpot. Pour in the cup of water and stock, then add the remaining 3 cups of water so that all the ingredients are covered.
Add paprika, Worcestershire Sauce & 1 Table spoon of Gravox and stir until all ingredients are combined.
Turn on low and cook for 6-8hrs.
When the stew is ready before you serve, add beans and a another tablespoon of Gravox. Remove lid and allow to thicken and beans to sofen for about 15mins.
Serve with additional vegetables such as broccoli as desired. If you haven’t added Potatoes, we often leave them out and create a potato mash with them instead and serve on the side- Yum!
